Obsessed. That is the only term that I can use to accurately describe my feelings towards top hat hair accessories. I don’t like them. I don’t dislike them. Yet for some inexplicable reason they interest me in a way that no other piece of headwear has before.
They are very reminiscent of the Mad Hatter’s headpiece of choice in the adorable yet oftentimes trippy Alice in Wonderland. Yet possess a little slice of gentleman’s flair; in addition to girly touches – feathers, mesh netting, bows, ribbons – to make them fabulously feminine as well.
Top hats? Terrific. Headbands? Never leave home without one. Top hats and headbands together? It’s a look that makes me say hmmm...
Is this a statement accessory that you could see yourself buying and wearing while out and about; or would you steer clear of it should you spot it in a store during a shopping spree?
Fashionably yours!
Thanks to Wet Seal for the picture.

thanks for the comment! I love this headband! i think i might make my own! xoxo http://fashionforafashionista.blogspot.com/
It ís practical, your hat won't easily fall off. But I agree with you, it really makes me say hmm.. !
What a fabulous idea!

Hmm..I'm not sure. It's a bit too whimsical for me but I'll wear it to a costume party. It's pretty cool though! xxoxoxoxo
Thanks for your kind comments always!
nice headband
have a nice day!
Do you really wear headbands every day? I love them, but sometimes feel like I would prefer hair around my face to be soft rather than completely pushed back.
As for the top hat/headband... I think it looks great, but probably wouldn't buy one myself! I look ridiculous in hats - would probably make a fool of myself if I tried to pull this off! ;)
thankyou for the comment! :)
i don't think i'd ever wear such a thing its to extravigunt ( i can't spell that ) and unusual!
have a lovely day :) xo
amelia (ambiguous alliteration) just wrote a post on what inspired alice in wonderland and how she seems to inspire lots of fashion! love it.
feathers for me please.
Tophats and headbands at the same time, awesome! I love the feather on it.
this is definitely a carrie bradshaw kind of look--I'm pretty sure I couldn't pull it off but it's inspiring nonetheless!!
That would probably be very cool in some places, but around where I live you would get laughed at for wearing something like that.
Very cute, but I think I have too much of an oddly shaped head to wear a hat and a headband, nevermind them combined! =p
I really appreciate hats. Even hats with feathers. I wish I wore them more often because I think I look quite snazzy in hats. But...and although the headband is a clever addition, I don't know if this is a hat I could pull off.
I have a gorgeous headband with feathers that I got last halloween when I dresses as a flapper. It really is pretty, but too much to wear on a daily basis I suppose.
I do love this trend though.
I love top hat fascinators! But I will admit the only times I have worn mine have been my birthday (when it's allowed) and to a forthcoming wedding...! And around my bedroom of course!
It's quite fascinating. I like looking at it, but I would probably never buy it for myself. I rarely wear hair accessories to begin with, but this is a bit too quirky for me. It would look great on some though!
Won't wear one but I'd love making it :)
ok, now that is way fun!
gorgeous... i love hats... don't have enough by a long way. or headbands. i got a neon feathered one the other day. yum. xxxc

Oooo...this scares me. For sure, some fashionistas will be able to rock this like no other but I foresee so many others going so wrong in an attempt...
