Thrifty Thursday: Kova & T Lace Leggings for Less

Darlings, I’m sure you’re well aware of it by now; but just in case you aren’t on the up and up I’ll simply spell it out for you…I’m suffering from a severe bout of lace case. It started a few short weeks ago with my admiration for American Apparel’s Nylon Spandex Stretch Floral Lace Unitard, but has only served to grow twofold since then. Everywhere I go my eyes seemingly land straight upon any lace offering within my line of view. In fact, I could enter a shop with a sole lace piece, and somehow my peepers would spot it. Thus it is no surprise that Kova & T’s Lace Leggings are now a primo part of my fashion radar.

Don’t play coy with me; you all know about my obsession with leggings – and have for quite some time now. So I figure why not couple my adoration for lace and leggings into one spellbinding accoutrement that I shall never want to remove from my form for the rest of my days?

Smoldering in their ability to play peek-a-boo with your many admirers via the semi-sheer construction, yet sophisticated in the sense that they remain classy in every sense of the word, Kova & T’s Lace Leggings are an amazing way to have fun with a pencil skirt, or simply showcase your lower half by topping them with a drapey tee or a cropped blazer for a girls night out. And the stirrup, while extremely retro in its design, makes for a preemptive finishing touch, for it holds them in place, making them fit more like tights than anything else.

With so much perfection why must the one blemish about these beauties be their price tag? Oui, I would give absolutely anything to call them my own; but non, at $150 a pair I simply don’t have the ability to do so. Don’t get me wrong; I certainly would if I could, but it’s out of the question. Therefore, I am going to settle…for something just as spectacular, of course!

Victoria’s Secret’s Lace Stirrup Legging are a striking piece of legwear which, at $39.50 a pair, are affordable enough to allow you to buy that sassy new clutch you’ve been eyeing – the perfect accessory to these lovelies!

Tell me, kittens…will you be a big spender and go for Kova & T, or be thrifty and spring for Victoria’s Secret?

Fashionably yours!

Thanks to Madison Los Angeles and Victoria’s Secret for the pictures.

I have to be a big spender because I think the quality of the kova & t ones is better than the VS ones. I love kova & t =) I am lusting after these also!

Oh these are both gorgeous! I love the stirrup idea so much too, and what a perfect lacy winter style for the Christmas season. Wonderful witty and fantastic post.

Also, thank you SO much for your sweet comment today, it completely made my day! ♥

Ooooh darling I just love these. But I'm sitting here in a woollen dress wondering if I will ever get warm again... I think I will have to take lace leggings off my wishlist until April!

The only way I could conceive of spending $150 on tights would be if they swallowed my ass and thighs whole and made me look like Kate. As in Moss. So I probably would be opting for the VS in this case! But I do love them all the same. And that's what fashion's all about, right? You have to let yourself covet just a little:)

The VS version is fabulous and a lot cheaper... that's what I will get of course.

Both gorgeous, but I would stick with the VS version- even though I adore the detail on the more expensive brand I would most likely ruin them far too quickly to justify the cost.

I too am in love with lace! Its just beautiful and elegant, I quite like lace cardigans and tops, they are the best. Today, I saw some lace leggings in newlook, quite the stunner!

I have been looking for a slightly subtle pair of lace tights since FOREVER but I can never manage to find a decent, non tacky, pretty pair.

Now I'm motivated to go scour around some more.

PS- YAY! You're on Facebook ;)

But these are delicious. Love!

I wasn't sure how I felt about these at first. I tried them in my "trend trials" (well a version). But, I am really liking them now!!

I think these are beautiful. Both of them are. If I was somebody buying them, I would have to go for the less expensive one.

I'm obsessed with lace, too, but not brave enough to wear it on my legs!

These are TOO cute. I must say, I prefer the expensive ones. But that's always the way!

Ohhhh I love the first ones desperately. I've been looking for some that aren't hookerish. These are not hookerish! :)

I usually stick to basic leggings, and never branch out into other styles. (speaking of my post today) but these are actually very very cute. I would start with these!

I love lace, but not quite sure how much I´m loving in combined with tights. Think I will stick with lace dresses, but if you can manage to pull em off, I´m sure they will look great!

Haute World said...

Love em! I would probably have to go for the Kovas, because I think the lace pattern looks better and the VS versions look almost too opaque, thus you don't really see the lace as well. These are definitely more practical than lace bodies though (yes, I'm referring to bathroom breaks again ;-)

Have a lovely weekend!

I so need to get lace leggings, maybe sans stirrups
they're so cute though!

I need to get this VS pair immediately! I have been looking for a pair of cheap lacy tights/leggings for a while now. :)
