january crush list!

1. faux fur coats Faux fur coats are like sequins for me - completely essential during the winter months. They have such a retro glam vibe to them that is so reminiscent of the Edie Sedgwick / Andy Warhol Factory Girl days; and look downright divine with flirty minis or body-hugging skinnies. My two faves are Glamorous' Stripe Faux Fur Coat in Black/White {the stripes are so chic!}, and Forever 21's Faux Fur Shawl Collar Jacket in Taupe {digging the cropped length!}.

2. shadow sticks For those days when pulling out my makeup brushes feels like a chore, I've begun turning to shadow sticks, which have great color payoff, last all day, and require nothing more than a simple swipe for sparkly eyes. Lately I've been reaching for Rimmel London's ScandalEyes Eyeshadow Stick in Bulletproof Beige {a gorgeous nude with subtle shimmer} paired with Milani's Shadow Eyez 12 HR Eyeshadow Pencil in Champagne Toast, but I'm dying to try Prestige's Total Intensity Total Wear Shadow Stick in Sand Frost, and NYX Cosmetics' 'Infinite Shadow' Stick in Silk. So pretty, right?!

3. crystal statement earrings I'm not the biggest jewelry person, but I do feel naked without earrings, so I consider them a total staple. Typically I opt for an oversize stud; but lately I've been obsessing over boom in your face crystal earrings that manage to juxtapose between OTT and sophistication. My top picks are Amber Sceats' Imitation Pearl Crystal Flower Ear Cuff in Pearl/Clear, Ben-Amun's Asymmetrical Crystal Earrings in Silver/Clear, and Kenneth Jay Lane's Marquis Cluster Pear CZ Earrings in Clear {perfect if you want something a little blingy}.

4. chocolate eyes While I love my Urban Decay Naked Palette, The Chocolate Bar Eye Palette from Too Faced has definitely superseded it over the past few months {and not just because it smells like chocolate}; so you could say that I'm ridiculously excited about the release of Too Faced's Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar. Same amazing scent, same amazing pigmentation, but with the bonus of 16 new. colors. Need I say more?
