prom dresses 2015!

Since the New Year is finally upon us, it seems only appropriate to take a moment to discuss a very important topic on the minds of many…Prom Dresses 2015. Why? How about…why not? Prom is, essentially, one of the most important {not to mention insanely exciting} events in a girl’s life.

First comes the asking {and boys, you had better step up your game when it comes to asking the current girl of your dreams to P-R-O-M because this is a time to go all out}, then comes the gushing {because no girl is going to keep her thrill at having been asked to the event of the season to herself}, and finally comes the most major bit of it all…choosing. the. dress.

I’ve recently discovered PickeDresses, which is a brilliant online shop for scoring perfect prom dresses that fit whatever look you’re aiming for. All-over sequins? They’ve got it! Thigh-high slits? Their sultry-meets-scandalous selections will make you giddy. Modest yet modern gowns? There are pages upon pages in every. color. imaginable. Even if you’re not headed to prom {like me, sadly}, these gorgeous pieces are fab for just about any event in your life that requires formal dress. Here, I’m highlighting my Top 5 selections. Prepare to fall in frock love!

A-line Bateau Short/Mini Satin Tulle Beading Prom Dresses {$109.70}
Red isn’t typically my color crush, but I simply cannot stop swooning over this sassy little number. The mini hemline coupled with a pair of strappy nude heels would easily create that coveted legs go on for days look; but what I adore even more is the nude bodice with red appliqué detailing which is so on trend for 2015. I may just need to snag this one myself for the 2015 holiday season!

Empire Sweetheart Floor-length Chiffon Sequined Beading Prom Dresses {$142.62}
I love a silver and blue color combo for its understated elegance and overall celebratory vibe that seamlessly works for any formal dress event - be it cocktail party, New Year’s Eve gathering, or Prom. This particular piece has captured my heart due to the navy blue chiffon-overlay skirt that allows the sparkly silver sequins to shine through, creating a true starry night appearance.

Sheath/Column V-neck Floor-length Chiffon Sequined Ruffles Prom Dresses {$131.76}
Despite its lack of sequins or sparkle, this particular gown has become a true stand-out for me courtesy of its elegant simplicity {not to mention the daring back + v-neck which more than make up for its absence of glitter}. Also loving the fact that it has that whole Greek Goddess thing going on.

Which dress would you pick for prom {or your next formal event}?

xx

All amazing selections, but I love the A-line Bateau!

I am definitely now going to resist the urge to dust off my old prom photos to see what everyone wore....hahaha!

Honestly, I was never really excited about prom when I was in high school...but that's due to a variety of reasons. Having a great dress is key for a lot of girls though!

They're so beautiful. Kind of wish I was back at school so I could have another prom.
